Often times in our shop, someone will ask ,”Is this a human hair or synthetic piece?” As someone who wears wigs myself, I love to try new styles and colors, so that I am able to identify with and give feedback to my clients.
In the past, there was a visibly obvious difference between a human hair wig and a synthetic. Now, it is almost impossible to tell the difference.
Human Hair wigs look very realistic and can be colored and highlighted. They will usually require the same time and attention as your biological hair. Once your human hair wig is washed, it will need to be blow dried and styled in order to maintain a fresh look. In our shop, we offer wig restyling for those who prefer human hair wigs and would like to have them professionally styled.
Synthetic Wigs are constructed with the hairstyle set in place. Once the synthetic wig is washed and air dried, all you do is shake your wig a few times, use a wig spray and wig brush or comb, and your original style is set back in place.
